Collaboration and Leadership Skills
Work effectively with teams in my position as Grade Level Chair and Grade Level Coach which entails ensuring my
team is on task and following a timeline, while also assisting them in planning and teaching effectively.
As an International Baccalaureate Teacher, I have been able to assist in making the program a success within my grade
level, but also helped the coordinator update the Program of Inquiry for kindergarten through fifth grade.
I have been a member of the Ombudsman for the last three years, where I assist in bringing issues to administration’s
attention and finding possible solutions as a team.
Currently I am the President of the Condo Association in which I reside and make sure that day-to-day tasks and issues
are resolved in conjunction with the other Board Members.
Achievement
My proudest achievement in my short span in teaching was being nominated as Teacher of the Year during the 2014 -
2015 school year.

Languages - Fluent in English and a fluent speaker and a proficient writer in Spanish.

• International Baccalaureate Teacher for the Primary Years Program for the last seven years of my teaching career.
• I have taught at this school for the last eight years where my class population mainly consisted of low-income,
Hispanic and English Language Learners.
• The subjects I taught throughout my teaching career have been reading, language arts, mathematics, science and social
studies. I did this using technology and various forms of media, and found ways to peek student curiosity especially by
using their interests.
