 ACT Prep: Reading
 Finish your matrix!!
   If you’ve finished, use College Greenlight to compare
    your chosen schools to your practice ACT scores (label
    the school as Reach, Possible, and Probable)

 Global Youth Service Day celebrates and mobilizes the
  millions of young people who improve their communities
  each day of the year through service. Established in 1988,
  Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event in the
  world, and the only day of service dedicated to children
  and youth.
 GYSD is celebrated each year in over 100 countries, with
  young people working together--and with schools, youth
  organizations, nonprofits, community and faith-based
  organizations, national service programs, government
  agencies, and adult mentors-- to address the world’s most
  critical issues and change their communities.
 April 26-28th, 2013
 When: Saturday, April 20th
 What: Competition for residents of nursing homes
  and assisted living facilities
 Examples of volunteer positions: Set up, race line
  judges, return assistants for throwing events, arts &
  crafts judges, runners (run scorecards from events to
  judges), parking assistants
 There are a limited number of volunteer spots, so
  if you want to participate you MUST let me know
  by next Thursday, April 4th.

 What: 2 night visit to Sam Houston State, chance to
    learn about the college and application process
   When: June 10th-June 12th
   Application deadline: April 1st
   This summer program is FREE and transportation is
    provided from Austin!!

 Last day to register: April 5th
 Test date: May 4th
 If you plan to take the SAT on this date, you need to
  get a fee waiver ASAP. Let me know when you have
  your fee waiver, and I’ll help you with the registration
  process.
 Later test date: June 1st (register by May 17th)

 Might have management
