Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

10. National Shoe Travelers Donates $1.5 Million
in Support of Two Ten Footwear Foundation
“I'm very proud to be a part of all three organizations, the B&STA of NY founded in 1906,
the Two Ten organization founded in 1939 and NST formerly known as WSA founded in
2006. We all have one thing in common, shoe people helping shoe people, and now the NST
has set up a special endowment fund through Two Ten for sales reps helping sales reps.”

Member And Chairman Of The Board OF B&STA Of NY; Terry Bastis, Vice-President Of NST And Territory Manager for Birkis N.A;
Meaghan M. Lawson, Marketing Directors Of NST; Neal Newman, President Of Two Ten Foundation.
TwoTen Footwear Foundation made public June 7th, 2012, a $1.5 million gift from National Shoe Travelers
(NST). The gift is the largest NST has ever made and was 100% approved by the 13 member NST Board.
The goal of the NST Endowment Fund is to provide a permanent legacy with the Two Ten Footwear Foundation
to be able to financially assist the shoe travelers in times of need. The National Shoe Travelers Endowment
Fund is tangible evidence of our common commitment of "shoe reps helping shoe reps". The spirit of
community and service and supporting each other during times of need is deeply woven into the very fabric
of all three organizations.
The partnership with NST demonstrates the unity between organizations in the U.S. footwear industry. "Through
this gift, NST leaves a permanent legacy and support system of sales representatives across the country. We
are thrilled NST supports and endorses our mission. We look forward to growing our relationship with NST,
and continuing to serve the needs of shoe reps across the country", said Two Ten President Neal Newman.
"NST's main objective for 2013 is to increase membership, take the organization to the next level while providing
fraternal support of fellow sales reps on the road. Two Ten and NST working together on a national scale can
help us do this", said NST President Mark Pecraro.
