This document discusses addressable TV and ad replacement in linear and non-linear content distribution. It notes that addressable TV is already used for non-linear on-demand content on mobile, desktop, smart TV and set-top box apps, and will be coming to linear TV. It encourages participation in the SCTE working group, preparing data while complying with GDPR and privacy rules, and creative uses of addressable capabilities. It notes addressable TV allows for ad insertion, profiling and programmatic buying for both live and on-demand streaming.
