Mr. Powell has over five years of experience as a civil engineer in MWH’s Tempe office. He is currently the lead field engineer for numerous
environmental monitoring and management projects for various industrial clients including BHP Billiton, Pinto Valley Mine Co., New Gold, and Freeport
McMoRan. Marcus has also been the lead field engineer responsible for execution of Phase I environmental assessments, Phase II environmental
investigations, and SPCC plan inspections of industrial operations throughout Arizona. He has also worked on the site characterization and field
investigations for Abandoned Uranium Mines (AUMs) sites located throughout the Navajo Nation and assisted in the identification and mapping of
protected vegetation species. His responsibilities include environmental sampling of groundwater and surface water in compliance with APP, GWQPP,
AZPDES and/or WQARF regulatory programs and landfill gas sampling in support of solid waste permitting efforts.
