Locomotor
Movements
Movements that
allow you to move
from one place to
another are called
LOCOMOTOR
MOVEMENTS.
To walk is to put one foot
on the ground after the
other as you move in a
certain direction.
To run is to move your
legs faster than when
you walk.
To jump is to move quickly
off the ground by pushing
yourself up with your legs
and feet.
To hop is to jump lightly
on one foot and land on
the same foot.
To leap is to take off and land on
the other foot. It is almost the
same as running but with higher and
longer steps.
