Locomotor movements allow movement from one place to another and include walking, running, jumping, hopping, and leaping. Walking involves putting one foot in front of the other to move in a direction, while running is moving the legs faster than walking. Jumping is moving quickly off the ground by pushing up with the legs and feet, hopping is jumping lightly on one foot and landing on the same foot, and leaping takes off and lands on the other foot with higher and longer steps than running.
