November,23rd 1876 . Manuel de Falla was born in Cádiz.  He was a Spanish classical music composer and  one of the most important musicians of the 20th Century.
His  teacher   in music was his mother. At the age of  9 he started  to learn piano and harmonic. He took interest in literature and journalism.
He moved to Madrid and then to Paris. Influenced  by the Andalusian cante jondo, he lived in Granada. One of his best friends was the poet Federico Garcia Lorca.
MOST IMPORTANT WORKS In Madrid, he composed several  of his best known pieces La vida breve  (1904-1913)  El sombrero de tres picos  (1917-1919)  El amor brujo  (1915) Romanza para violonchelo y piano  (1898) Nocturno  (1896)
September ,28th  1939,after the Civil  War, Manuel de Falla moves to Argentina.  He died in November ,14th  1946,and lies in the Cathedral of Cádiz .
