Federico Garcia Lorca was a Spanish poet, dramatist, painter, pianist and composer born in 1898 in Fuente Vaqueros, Spain. He studied law and writing at universities in Granada and Madrid. Lorca came from a wealthy landowning family and had a passion for music and poetry from a young age. He was tragically executed during the Spanish Civil War in 1936 at the age of 38.

 His mother, Vicenta Lorca Romero, was a teacher

 In 1909, when Federico was 11, his family moved
to the city of Granada.


5. He died on 19th August 1936 in Viznar (Granada).
 He was arrested and executed during the Spanish
Civil War.
