Masaki Okada of Nisshin Yoki Co., Ltd. discusses the company's expansion of its steel drum reconditioning business in China. Nisshin Yoki has established joint ventures in Tianjin and Qingdao, China to provide steel drum reconditioning services using Japanese technologies. The company plans to open a new facility in Taicang, China that will be able to recondition 25,000 drums per month. Okada believes there is high potential demand for reconditioned drums in the Huadong region of China from industries such as petrochemicals, lubricants, chemicals, and paints.
