This article discusses managing conflicts through nonviolent and violent means. It is divided into four parts - past, present, future, and relationships. In the past, civilizations attacked each other and revolts used more non-violent techniques but also some violent acts. Currently, oppressed states in Africa and the Middle East are starting to physically revolt. In the future, it will take time for nonviolent methods to be widely accepted and there will be many physical revolts. Nonviolent techniques are seen as building better relationships. Learning entities need to train on nonviolent conflict management but also risk management due to the potential for physical risks.
