The document summarizes a study on improving access to the music collection at Makerere University. It examined how the music collection was managed within the Makerere University Library and Music, Dance and Drama department. Qualitative research methods were used, including interviews, observation, and document analysis. Key findings were that this was the first such study in Uganda, access to music relies on scores, recordings, and scholarly works, and the research generated information to improve collection management through digitization and a new multimedia center.
