Social Justice as a Form of Discourse Impacting Identity for Action
By Philip S. Mirci, Ph.D. (2015)Introduction
Richard Paul (1992) wrote:
Because we do not come to our experience with a blank slate for a mind, because our thinking is already, at any given moment, moving in a direction, because we can form new ideas, beliefs, and patterns of thought only through the scaffolding of our previously formed thought, it is essential that we learn to think critically in environments in which a variety of competing ideas are taken seriously. โฆ Knowledge is discovered by thinking, analyzed by thinking, organized by thinking, transformed by thinkingโฆ There is no way to take the thinking out of knowledge, or the struggle out of thinking, just as there is no way to create a neat and tidy step-by-step path to knowledge that all minds can mindlessly follow โฆ But thinking requires counter-thinking, opposition and challenge, as well as support. We need reasons meaningful to us, some persuasive logic, to move our minds from one set of ideas or beliefs to another. In other words, we must โargueโ ourselves out of our present thinking and into thinking that is more or less novel to us if we are to gain genuine knowledge [Critical thinking: what every person needs to survive in a rapidly changing world. Santa Rosa, CA: The Foundation for Critical Thinking, p. xi].
The search for truth and knowledge is one of the finest attributes of man โ though often it is most loudly voiced by those who strive for it the least.
The world we have made as a result of the level of thinking we have done thus far creates problems that cannot be solved at the same level of thinking at which we created them.
Constructivism, as a learning theory, was consistent with neuroscience research: the brain makes sense of experience by accessing its own existing knowledge base in order to interpret that experience. Furthermore, oneโs identity is connected to this sense-making process. Thus, oneโs own knowledge about self, others, and the world is limited. Intellectual humility is the discipline of bringing this awareness to different methods of knowing. Stephen Freeman (2000) summarized three different methods of knowing that were first stated by Charles Peirce in 1940:
The first method of knowing, the method of tenacity, states that people hold firm to truths they โknowโ are true. In establishing these truths there may be a tendency to omit evidence that does not support our beliefs and to find and include that, which does. This represents the well-known problem of objectivity. Frequent repetition or re-indoctrination of these assumptions or truths enhances their validity. This, simply stated, means one finds what one looks forโฆ
The second method of knowing is the method of authority or established belief. This method has the weight of tradition and public sanction behind it. Many of the things we think we know have been handed down by tradition. People have also .

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H

At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.

Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder
What are the main advantages of using HR recruiter services.pdfHumanResourceDimensi1
ย
HR recruiter services offer top talents to companies according to their specific needs. They handle all recruitment tasks from job posting to onboarding and help companies concentrate on their business growth. With their expertise and years of experience, they streamline the hiring process and save time and resources for the company.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
ย
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

3. Definition of self - interest:
๏ generally refers to a focus on the needs or
desires (interests) of oneself.
๏ Focus on actions or activities that are
advantageous to an individual or organization.
For a business or individual to survive and grow,
a degree of self-interest is necessary. When
there is too much focus on self-interest
the benefits of the group at large diminishes.
4. Self-interest
๏ The term โinterestsโ is a wide abstraction that covers
the entire field of ethics. It includes the issues of:
manโs values, his desires, his goals and their actual
achievement in reality. A manโs โinterestsโ depend on
the kind of goals he chooses to pursue, his choice of
goals depends on his desires, his desires depend on his
valuesโand, for a rational man, his values depend on
the judgment of his mind.
5. Enlightenment Self-interest
๏ is a philosophy in ethics which states that
persons who act to further the interests of
others (or the interests of the group or groups
to which they belong), ultimately serve their
own self-interest.
6. Unenlightened of Self-interest
๏ In contrast to enlightened self-interest is
simple greed or the concept of "unenlightened self-
interest," in which it is argued that when most or all
persons act according to their own myopic selfishness,
that the group suffers loss as a result of conflict,
decreased efficiency because of lack of cooperation,
and the increased expense each individual pays for the
protection of their own interests. If a typical individual
in such a group is selected at random, it is not likely
that this person will profit from such a group ethic.
7. Unenlightened of Self-interest
๏ Some individuals might profit, in a material sense,
from a philosophy of greed, but it is believed by
proponents of enlightened self-interest that these
individuals constitute a small minority and that the
large majority of persons can expect to experience a
net personal loss from a philosophy of
simple unenlightened selfishness.
๏ Unenlightened self-interest can result in the tragedy of
the commons.
8. Tragedy of the commons
๏ is a dilemma arising from the situation in which
multiple individuals, acting independently and
rationally consulting their own self-interest.
11. The Ethics of Self-Realization
๏ The theory of self-realization is that a life of excellence is
based on the actualization of human potentialities. In
psychology, this is called "self-development."
Self-realization, here, is not meant to connote the active
awareness of the Stoics, as the word might suggest (i.e.,
"becoming aware").
We ought to actualize our potentialities-the theory, then,
rests to some degree on naturalism, the biological and
psychological capacities of what it is to be a human being.
The idea is that every great person in history has set up
guidelines for his life.
12. The Ethics of Self-Realization
๏ Essentially, there are three different views on which
capacities should be developed.
1. Variety pattern of self-realization: becoming a
well-rounded person, learning and doing a little of
everything.
2. Dominant theme pattern: concentrate on one
major interest and build other interests around it.
13. The Ethics of Self-Realization
3. Maximum fulfillment of desires:
(naturalism) people are born with innate
purposes, ends, and goals, and excellence is
achieved by fulfilling these natural human
wants.
