2. This is a primary image of
a road taken by me. I
chose this specific shot
because I wanted to
incorporate the white lines
on the road and the cracks
to suggest to the viewers
that a crash has taken
place at this location.
I chose to use an image of
a road as my background
for my poster because I felt
as though it was
appropriate to the content
of my documentary about
Young Drivers.
I imported this photo onto Photoshop in order to get the sizing and
degree right so that the Images I will be placing on top will look in
proportion to the road.
3. This is another primary image,
taken by me. I ensured the surface
in which I took the photo on was
plain so that the phone was the
main focus so when cropping the
photo out from its background it
become easier. I also ensured no
reflections of light was over the
phone so it did not effect the final
result and reduce the
professionalism of the poster.
I chose to incorporate an image of
a phone in my poster because it is
know as one of the main causes of
car accidents, with people using
their phones whilst driving on a
daily basis. I hope my viewers can
relate to this and want to
understand the true dangers of
dangerous driving and the
consequences it may have.
4. This is another primary image.
I took a picture of my brothers
IPhone, that happened to be
smashed, I wanted to use a
phone with a cracked screen
because the effect was to look
as though the phone had been
involved in a car accident and
to emphasise this I put a photo
of a smashed up car as the
background. In order to get this
image as the background, I
sent it as a text message to
this phone and opened it in
camera library.
5. Using one of the photographs I
took of a car that had been in an
accident, I texted the image to
my brother s phone which had a
cracked screen and then
montaged it onto the previous
phone image using Photoshop. I
had originally tried to put a
cracked screen effect onto the
image but it did not look realistic
enough, so this was the best
option.
Once having montaged the
crashed car image onto the
phone this was then dropped on
to the road image to make the
final image for the poster. For a
more realistic image I used the
drop shadow function in
Photoshop to make the image as
realistic as possible.
6. The text on the final poster was taken from the PDF of the corporate ID from
channel 4. This was copied one letter at a time and put onto the poster. The
channel 4 logo was copied and applied in the same way. Also in order to get the
logo the same colour as the text I used the pipette tool in Photoshop to identify
the colour and drag it onto the logo.
