1) A panel discussion was assembled with Aristotle, Einstein, and Plato to question a guest who seemed able to answer complex questions. 2) The guest arrived and was surprisingly a gazelle. The panel began questioning the gazelle to test its wisdom. 3) An attendee then asked why the gazelle was talking, surprising the audience. The panel went silent in thought for 15 minutes.

1. Make a superlative point
Who do you attest to be?
A panel of wise men was assembled, ok stop. Sounds good I know you would love to
attend. Well, if you saw these names in a headline it is natural to want to be there. Aristotle,
Einstein and Plato were asked to panel a discussion on a recently recognized personality who
seemed to be able to answer the toughest questions purposed.
Assembling the panel in conference setting the instructor and audience was awaiting
arrival of the renowned guest who seems to be able to answer very complex questions. The guest
speaker walked in. Taking his station beside the podium his appearance provoked a moment of
silence. The guest speaker was a Gazelle. (Stay with me)
Aristotle, Einstein and Plato ruffled through their pages to arrive at pre-written questions
to test the ability of one who aspired to be among their ranks. Now the panel was instructed to
begin their questions to prove that the guest was indeed wise.
Motioning to begin with his question Aristotle began; I have been known to expand every
theory known. I can tie them together or separate them to stand on their own always using
reasoning and logic to easily exemplify their points.
Aristotle: Present a supportive argument that shows my paths are sustainable or infallible? So,
the Gazelle answered very astutely and astounded the audience.
Raising his hand to assert his question Einstein proceeded;
Einstein: It has been said that light travels faster than the speed of sound; can you tell me how
long it would take for sound to catch up with that light?
Immediately Plato responded by looking at Einstein then gruffly interjecting said;
Plato: If sound can actually catch up to light, please explain this and provide an equation that
demonstrates this to its validity?
Well, the Gazelle did, and he wisely confused everyone. Using soundless gestures from
the back of the forum a guest began to move about motioning with both arms to retrieve a
response from the instructor. After a moment the instructor responded. Sir, are you sure you
would like to step to this panel? From the looks of your appearance she continued, you do not
have the credentials to be formidable among colleagues? The attendee responded yes, I would
still like to ask my question.
Attendee: Ok, I would like to know, why is the Gazelle talking? The audience gasped.

2. (My point: don’t just show up, bring something different – make a superlative point)
The instructor looked at the panel and exclaimed, gentlemen. Aristotle looked at Einstein
and Einstein looked at Plato while the panel went into thought. For 15 minutes the forum sat in
silence. Then raising his hand very slowly, Einstein motioned to speak. The instructor, relieved
said please.
Einstein: Yes, I would like to know if anyone has an eraser.
Instructor: indignantly responded: For what?
Einstein: I am going to erase my name from the guest list, I am not here today!
If you want to be known for grazing with Gazelle’s, show up where they are. Define who
you are. What you ascribe to be, follow that course and grab hold of things that will help you to
maintain that course. Oh, and if everybody else is doing it that does not mean it makes sense.
