This document provides descriptions of several UI design projects completed by Made With Math. It describes apps for Adobe, a streaming video app for the Monterey Bay Aquarium; Yeepa, a shopping app that syncs with video; an interactive living room display for Akamai; a redesign of the Cox Media Group local news app; an events app for Austin 360; an educational app called Slim the Science Hound; and a dating app called Parallel.

2. Adobe - Sea TV
The premise of this iPad app is to show off Adobe’s
streaming technology by having users log into live
video feeds from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The
original design of this app was published in April of
2011. While we loved using the app, we always had
this nagging feeling that the design could have been
a little more consumer focused. The initial app we
designed was very much influenced by the Adobe
brand style. So we re-concepted the app and came
up with this version of the design.

5. Yeepa
We did the branding, wireframes and UI for this
startup app developer. The product, Yeepa, is a
shopping application that will sync with video
and provide applicable items and discounts.
Imagine watching Top Gun and then having the
ability to buy Mavericks aviator sunglasses on
your mobile device.

9. Akamai - Living Room
of the Future
What could your living room be like in 5 years?
That’s what Akamai wanted to show visitors at
their headquarters. We did the user interface
work on this project where we installed a Kinect-
enabled television at the Akamai Headquarters.
Then we created different iPad apps that worked
in conjunction with a TV.

12. Cox Media Group -
Local News
When we were contracted to reimagine the Cox
Local News iPad app, we identified more than
a few places for improvement. Being that the
primary function of a news app is to deliver
different forms of content to the user (written
articles, video, weather, traffic), we focused heavily
on creating a rock solid grid and navigation system
that can be applied in all circumstances. This new
iPad version is being used by all of the Cox local
news stations throughout the country.

16. Cox Communications -
Austin 360 Go
This app, for Cox Communications subsidiary Austin
360 could be thought of as Evite meets Yelp for Austin.
Users can either search for places and events, or plan
a whole evening of fun with their friends.

19. Math Inc. -
Slim the Science Hound
This is an internally initiated children’s learning app
that we’re co-developing with Dinah Zike (published
children’s educator for McGraw Hill).

23. Parallel
Parallel is a dating app that introduces you to the
people who have also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro,
get their coffee at Mud, and are Yoga nerds. It’s
about helping you discover quality singles who
have shared life experiences.
