AN EXPLORATORY STUDY ON K-12 TEACHERS' USE OF TECHNOLOGY AND MULTIMEDIA IN THE CLASSROOM INTRODUCTION Teachers positively support their curricular goals and enhance classroom instruction (Smerdon, B., Cronen, S., Lanahan, L., Anderson, J., Lannotti, N., & Angeles, J. (2000); Gray, Thomas & Lewis, 2010). There are multiple technology tools st in the 21 century available for teachers to integrate in their classroom for these purposes; however, there are challenges. These tools change rapidly so it becomes inherent for schools to have current technology and teachers that are sufficiently prepared to use these technology tools (Hinostroza, 2011). Often teachers do not understand terminology necessary to communicate when using these tools. Two terms educators commonly use interchangeably are technology and multimedia. The term “technology” denotes the hardware that is used in the classroom and the term “multimedia”conveys software applications combining digital media types, such as text, images, sound, and video, which are the definitions used in this study. Furthermore, it is difficult to establish a skill and integrate technology in their classroom to By knowledge level necessary for educators. The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) developed five standards in evaluating the necessary skills and knowledge of educators. These five standards are to: 1) Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity; 2) Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments; 3) Model digital age work and learning; 4) Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility; and 5) Engage in professional growth and leadership (ISTE, 2008). For the purposes of this study, the ISTE Standard 2: Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments and ISTE Standard 3: Model digital age work and learning, were the primary focus. The approach also helped me comprehend that the most critical aspect a teacher can give a student is confidence. If one believes in themselves and what they can accomplish, they will succeed even beyond the academic field. Data Collection One significant factor an individual should consider when collecting data via interviews includes the questions asked. Some queries might be intrusive enough to make the interviewee feel uncomfortable. At such a state, a person cannot gather relevant data or acquire the exact information. The second valuable element includes the tools used to collect data during interviews. Many options exist, including a tape recorder, notebook, or a plan book as scholars suggest (Rockford, n.d.). At times, an interviewer requires more than one recording tool to store information hence the need for considering the apparatus to use. A third consideration involves whether to interview people formally or informally. The former entails using structured questions, while the latter demands a casual conversation. Under data collections, an interviewer must consider whether to settle for digital tools like recorders and videos or traditional mechanisms like note-taking. Aydin et al. (2017) found in their study that both the curriculum and instructional methods have weaknesses that significantly reduce education quality in early childhood schools. For instance, the authors found that the ratio of teachers to students is lower than required, which implies that there are more students per teacher. Consequently, the teachers cannot comprehensively deliver customized instructions to all students effectively due to time constraints. The authors recommend the use of technology, and employment of more teachers to increase instructional quality by increasing the time taken to teach each student according to their learning and developmental needs. In that regard, Dziuban et al. (2018) discuss raise concerns that there are many challenges in early childhood education (ECE). They include ineffective instructional methods, substandard learning environments, and inappropriate content that do not effectively support children's learning and developmental needs. It will also contribute towards establishing the list of latest technological devices, and how it can enhances the process of teachinglearning system.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing

Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process. In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds. - These are slides of the talk given at IEEE International Conference on Software Testing Verification and Validation Workshop, ICSTW 2022.
