This document discusses the lymphatic drainage of the head and neck region. It begins by introducing that lymph from the head and neck drains into deep cervical lymph nodes, which form the jugular trunks that drain into the right lymphatic duct or left thoracic duct. There are approximately 60-70 lymph nodes in the head and neck region, which can be grouped as superficial or deep nodes. Superficial nodes lie above the deep cervical fascia, while deep nodes include the deep cervical nodes, Waldeyer's ring, and midline nodes.
