Workers eating lunch on a girder atop a New York skyscraper in 1932. The photos were taken by Charles Ebbets on the 69th floor of what is now the GE Building in Rockefeller Center. They depict the daily scenes and peculiar safety measures of workers involved in skyscraper construction between 1920-1935. The photos are part of the Bettmann Collection owned by Corbis, containing over 11 million historical photographs.
