Ted Croner was an American photographer born in 1922 in Baltimore who was known for his haunting night images of New York City. He served as an aerial photographer in World War II before settling in New York in 1947, where he took many black and white photographs of the city until his death in 2005 at age 82. Croner took photographs in locations around New York City such as Madison Square Garden, Central Park South, and streets showing people, taxis, and scenes in the snow.
