I think that every architectural project has to relate with three main issues:
- individuals, who live, use, interact, like, blame and pay for the project.
- green, which is around us and should be used with a mutual benefit.
- buildings, which can define or deny spaces, create boundaries or open new paths.
This issues are solved in my projects through design, materials, technology, energy strategies and use of natural elements

Hello, my name is Artemis. I am a passionate, recently graduated architect from the Architecture Department of Patras in Greece. I love constructive discussions and creative design. I can be lost in detail but I like managing large scales.
I am interested in using more efficient ways to “built” a self-efficient and sustainable future through architecture. I believe in architecture that can be closer to nature and our past while satisfying our current needs. That’s why workshops concerning natural construction, sustainability and rehabilitation are my thing.
As a highly skilled French speaker, I have lived in France for six months for Erasmus+. Other personal high skills are hand sketch and programs like Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Ps/Il/Id and more. I can work hard if needed and even more when I love the project. I believe in continuous learning and evolution despite the difficulty of the process that brings us face to face with our inner self.

2. As a young architect, I tend to explore
the interconnected fields of architecture,
from space design to urban planning.
In my career, I so far had the privilege of
working in divers offices, in both big and
small teams, gaining knowledge and ex-
perience through different approaches.
I worked on various projects (housing,
museum, library, school, etc.) for both
public and private clients, taking an ac-
tive part in every phase from the concep-
tion to the realization.
This experience had taught me a lot
about creative thinking, communicating,
working in teams, decision-making and
adapting as the project evolves.
I’ve developed a particular interest in
sensible architecture, placing the people
in the centre of the attention, and taking
into consideration the environment, in
order to create the most accurate space
possible, using natural elements, and
vernacular techniques and aesthetics.
The following is a selection of some pro-
jects I had the opportunity to work on.

4. Humboldt Forum
Berlin - Germany
24000 m2
Exhibition design / Ralph Appelbaum Associates
I’ve been recently working on the Hum-
boldt Forum project, as an exhibition de-
signer. The building, reconstruction of the
Berliner Schloss on the Museum Island,
will host, between others, the Ethnologi-
cal Museum and the Museum for Asiatic
Art. The collections which, up until now,
have been presented in Dahlem are be-
ing renewed, completed, and transferred
to the city centre, in order to provide an
easier access and a better visibility to the
public.
My role on this project was to trans-
late the concept of the curators into a
physical space scenography (in different
scales: museum, room, showcase), while
considering the technical matters such
as lighting, or mounting of the objects.
I was mainly in charge of the sections
Africa and China.

5. Restaurant complex for the military training center
Baie-Mahault - Guadeloupe
2000m2
Competition - Design / Atelier Le 13ème
This project provides a restaurant along
with secondary facilities, for the existing
military training centre of Guadeloupe
(RSMA).
Both main restaurant halls are designed
in reference to the outline of a military
camp, whose specific shape optimizes
the natural ventilation and day lighting.
A central patio protects views between
low and high ranks, while enabling more
daylight. Two similar blocks accommo-
date additional facilities such as cafés,
grocery store and hairdresser. Kitchens
and facility rooms are included in simple
volumes, designed and planned in order
to facilitate circuits and functioning of the
complex.
In the context of a public competition, I
discovered a new way of working, into a
strong team spirit. We won the contract
and I worked on the first phases of the
project.

6. Library
Capesterre de Marie-Galante - Guadeloupe
400m2
Design / Atelier Le 13ème
This project features a library and cul-
tural centre for a small town.
A former water tank, important cultural
heritage, has been at the origin of the
choice of the project site. Thus, it be-
came a strong and central element in the
architecture: after creating openings, it
became the main reading room, protect-
ed by a wood and glass box, and visible
from the street and the public square. A
second tank nearby would be integrated
later in the project, as an annex, hosting
temporary exhibitions.
Making this building work without any air
conditioning was very important to the
client and to us. However, in a tropical
climate, where the building is exposed to
the sea winds, the question of conser-
vation of the books was raised. After in-
depth researches, we managed to estab-
lish a solution by enabling a functioning
ventilation system and protection from
direct sun.
I was in charge of this project from first
sketches to technical drawings, while
leading this investigation about biocli-
matic libraries.

7. ,Le Phare’ - Tourism accomodations
Saint-Francois - Guadeloupe
800m2
Design / Atelier Le 13ème
The client of this project, a private devel-
oper, acquired a dilapidated two-storey
building in a small touristic town in order
to create new shops and tourism accom-
modations.
It required to demolish a part of the
building, and to reorganize the spaces in
the preserved part. The new extension
consisted in a light wooden graft on the
seaside, built on top of the existing struc-
ture.
Thus, the businesses in the ground floor
and studios on the first floor turn to the
city, whereas the luxury touristic apart-
ments open widely unto the coral bay.
I joined the project during the phase of
technical drawings, and followed the first
steps of the demolition/construction.

8. Villa LeRomancer
Baie-Mahault - Guadeloupe
180m2
Design - Project management / Atelier Le 13ème
In this private villa project, the biocli-
matic principles - trying to work with the
environment in order to create a com-
fortable space - once again guided the
conception. The shape of the house, with
its patios, openings and protections was
studied so that it could be naturally ven-
tilated and lighted.
For this project, I was in charge from the
first phases of sketching to the end of
the construction. For the first time, I was
confronted with the reality of building,
dealing with administrative constraints,
construction work, and the complexity of
the relations between the architect, the
client and all parties involved.

9. Professional training centre
Paris - France
12000m2
Design / SLA Architecture
This project was initiated by a large firm
in need of a seminar centre for its ex-
ecutive employees. Located in the close
suburb of Paris, the site is a 60-hectare
domain, lodging an old castle and its an-
nexes, which is all registered in the his-
torical and protected heritage.
The project consisted of the refurbish-
ment of the old buildings into new train-
ing rooms, restaurant and accommoda-
tions, while new buildings host the main
auditorium and more training rooms.
I’ve been working as an assistant de-
signer on the refurbishment of the his-
torical buildings, making the plans of the
existing and drawing the first steps of the
project itself.
14 - 15
10. Urban agricultural centre
Montpellier - France
Planning - 40ha / Urban design - 15ha / School - 2000m2
Master degree final project / ENSAM
This work answers to a project initi-
ated by the municipality of Montpellier,
opening a 40-hectare site close to the
city-centre (formerly a military training
centre) for developing a new urban plan-
ning, including housing, businesses, fa-
cilities, and public spaces.
The first step was to open the area to
the other districts by creating new roads.
Then, I decided to gather the buildings
on the north and the surrounding of the
site, in order to keep the core free and
create a green lung needed in this part
of the city.
The project focused on the central strip
of the site, on which runs a long pedes-
trian walkway, passing through “natural”
and urban landscape sequences deal-
ing with the theme “culture in the city”:
collective gardens, horticultural school,
botanical research centre… Thereby it
becomes more than a park, but an edu-
cative place, bringing back nature and
agriculture to the urban citizens.

11. Collective ecological housing
Montpellier - France
3000m2
Study project / ENSAM
This is a study project, consisting of col-
lective housing and two facilities (dance
school, and artist workshop/gallery). It
was constraint on the site by two other
housing projects on each side of this
plot, which we had to coordinate.
The arrangement of the three buildings
on the site and the highs of each of them
are studied to maximize available sun-
light for each apartment. The fact that
each apartment opens on both facades
creates good ventilation and natural
lighting for each room. In addition to the
basic living spaces, each apartment is
provided with a large terrace, or a flying
box on the south facades, working like
greenhouses in wintertime, and balco-
nies in summertime.
The simplicity of the thread allows the
use of prefabricated wooden panels,
which would make the construction
cheaper, faster, and cleaner. Solar panels
and a collective wood heating system en-
sure energy autonomy for the buildings.
A rainwater storage system is used for
the collective garden upkeep.

12. Urban development - Urban design, Housing & Library
Courtmacsherry - Ireland
Urban planning - 19ha / Library - 900m2
/ Housing - 1700m2
Study project / DIT
Taking place in a village on the south
coast of Ireland, this project tends to
galvanise the seaside strip, along the ur-
ban ribbon. Thus, I created a long prom-
enade from end to end, passing through
various activity zones. On the west side
stands a wetland, treating the water of
the entire village, while creating a new
ecosystem, providing a great place to
observe birds or plants. Then comes the
harbour, centre of the village, with a few
shops and facilities. On the east part, I
created a second activity centre, group-
ing a library, a housing building together
with some shops and a medical centre,
and a market place.
This workshop was directed by G. Mur-
cutt, which focused our work on the rela-
tion with the environment, close and far,
taking a particular attention to the views
and the frames, the sun and the wind.
20 - 21
13. In association with the Architecture and
Urbanism Council, whose main objective
is to promote architecture among the
citizens, I conducted a workshop in sec-
ondary school.
Our first approach focused on space rep-
resentation and orientation. The children
had to make a plan of the school, with
different landmarks, later on used by the
institution. A second phase of the pro-
ject was a concrete physical work on the
signage in the school. Because the work-
shop was part of the art class, we decid-
ed to create anamorphoses, as a playful
way to perceive the space. A first step,
working on models, helped the children
understand the process. Then, we could
make a few projections in real scale. De-
spite the age of the pupils (average of
12), the results were great, and the kids
were really proud of their work.
It’s been a rewarding experience to me,
opening architecture to different con-
texts, dealing with new issues, new audi-
ence, and new vocabulary.
22Art & architecture workshop in secondary school
,Architecture & Space apprehension’
CAUE
This scenography workshop was created
in association with the National Choreog-
raphy Centre, in their premises, a former
convent.
The exercise here was to create in one
week, with the help of a unique and sim-
ple material (carton tubes) a sensitive
space, which would at the end be experi-
mented by dancers.
Our group developed the thema of virus,
invading the space with a repetition of a
simple modular tripod.
The reactions of the dancers were sur-
prising, not always fitting with our expec-
tations, reminding us that space is not
only what you plan, but also how each
individual will interpret it, react and cre-
ate from it.
