Community Centre: Badly damaged & unuseable as it is dangerous. The community centre is the heart of the community, used by: Old aged pensioners group – weekly meetings Distribution of government subsidiaries to local people Home to medical visits School , Church & Sports club functions Meetings for the neighborhood group  “Junta de Vecinos” All community events Project: Community Centre  (“Sede social”)

Work to Date Cleaned out the “sede” and organized warehouse where materials are stored. Put supports up on the walls (internally and externally) Removed floor boards, marked out pillars on the sides of the walls and dug out holes for the pillars. Drill holes through walls and pillars. Put pillars up next to the walls and filled holes with stones and cement.
Work to Date Picked at the walls to allow cement to stick to it. Put up and nailed chicken wire to the walls. Removed damaged roof. Flicked the walls with cement on top of the chicken wire. Repaired entry wall, leveling the wall,  reinforcing the corner and putting support.
 
 
 
 
 
Work to Date Construction of roof wood trusses. Putting up roof trusses. Construction of a ring beam around the walls to support them and to nail roof trusses to. Put up lateral wooden beams “costaneras” for the roof  and put zinc (corrugated iron) roof plaques on top of them.
