LONDONMy first journey to one of the biggest cities in Europe was wonderful. London is huge, noisy and cosmopolitan. People in London are very nice, but they are always in a hurry.
Westminster AbbeyWestminster Abbey is a gothic church where all the kings and queens of England are buried.
EMBANKMENTEmbankment is the sidewalk near the river Thames, which was my favourite place. There were many doves and seagulls there.
TRAFALGAR SQUAREIt is impossible to imagine London without Trafalgar square. It is the heart of London – beautiful and important, because the portrait gallery of England, one of the biggest in Europe, is on Trafalgar square.
Buckingham palaceThe palace, where the Queen and the royal family resides, is called Buckingham palace.
Saint James’s parkNext to the Buckingham palace is located the beautiful and very green Saint James’s park. I wish we also had parks like that in Yerevan with a lake and swans, pelicans, ducks and other birds.
HARRODS’SHarrods's is the biggest and the most famous shopping mall in London. Thepirateshipintheshopwindowismadeofchocolate.
MADAME TUSSAUD’SThe famous museum of wax figures of Madame Tussaud’s, where all the famous people’s sculptures are shown, contains also terrific exponents.
BELIEVE IT OR NOTThis is the exposition of the most amazing and extraordinary things – the smallest car, the fattest man, the sculpture of Beatles made from chewing gum etc.
London ZooLondon Zoo is very big. The cages are large and comfortable. We spent the whole day there, and yet did not manage to see all the animals.
PiccadillyOne of the most beautiful and famous streets in London is Piccadilly. There are many museums and theaters there.
Tower of LondonThe biggest and most dreadful prisons in England was the Tower of London. Now there is a museum and a famous place for tourists to walk near the Tower Bridge. We ate a very delicious ice-cream there.
English teaIn London I liked to drink tea with milk. It is tasty.
The Heathrow AirportWe spent several hours in London’s airport called Heathrow. But we were not bored at all. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants there.
