1. Locations...
These are the 5 locations we are
definitely shooting at but we do
know the risks of some being
told that we can’t shoot at them
locations for example Trafalgar
Square so we do have some back
up options as we have thought
about different outcomes.
2. Primrose Hill
Here is a picture of Primrose Hill and this is the look we want for our
video. We would go later in the day when it begins and is actually
dark so that the buildings of central London in the background are
alight. This is to add to the music video, for more of a narrative part
that doesn’t have anything to do with the lyrics to the song. We
wanted to go to two park based locations at this is more for the
view rather than the look of the park with the trees, it will be easier
to run around for a scene for the video as well.
3. Lea Valley regional park
We chose to use Lea Valley Regional Park because of the all the
trees that are big and the clear paths to walk through. Also to walk
past the River Lea with the overgrown look. This is also linked to the
genre as ‘Ellie Goulding’ had a video where she was just out in the
greenery and this adds an almost child like effect as its a park, so
this adds an element of fun as well. Again the location doesn’t fit in
to the lyrics of the song but it doesn’t have to. Also we want to get
shots of the water behind our artist ‘Luna Smalls’.
4. Brick Lane
This is Brick Lane, which our group definitely want to shoot at as
it is a very iconic place in urban London. This is also where I think
a lot of our target audience would go so that helps to tie them
in as well as they would know Brick Lane or heard of it. We really
like the look as there are a lot of boutique type places (one off
shops) and the graffiti is a bonus as it gives an edge from going
to nice parks with a child like theme this then appeals to the
older people that would listen to ‘Luna Smalls’.
5. Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar is such a well known in place in London that we really
want to shoot there, as the Lions and the fountain are so iconic
again. This will help us reach to our wider audience as they might
not be into urban/run down looking London but they will all know
Trafalgar Square. This reaches out to younger and older viewers just
because of location that they can identify with. We also really
would like for ‘Luna Smalls’ to walk with the fountain behind her
and also to be on a lion as it adds a different platform instead of
just standing.
6. Banksy Tunnel/ Leake street
This is again a very urban looking tunnel at Waterloo but this is Banksy
Tunnel AKA Leake Street which has the work of one of the most
famous graffiti artists who is know by people of all ages which gives a
different feel as it is quite dark in there with just graffiti so it isn’t the
same as Brick Lane. We really want to shoot there as graffiti is a big
part of our generation and of where we come from especially if its
not from the best areas. So it links to that audience that are in run
down areas that see this and think that it looks cool its being shown in
a positive way.
