2. In this tutorial, you will learn how to find
books:
 By author / title
 By topic
 By format

3. Access the Research Hub by clicking on
Academics then Library from the Trine
University’s home page.
Bookmark the URL for the LIS homepage
https://trine.edu/library/index.aspx

4. Limit the Research Hub search box to Books.
Use a qualifier to search for title as illustrated. Enter
your search terms and click .
Use index labels to search by title and / or author as
illustrated. For best results, enter title in quotes.
Search for a specific book

Note that the title is held by Trine
University and available. The print
version of the book published in
2012 is located in the LINK Sponsel
and shelved in the General
Circulation collection.
Click the hyperlink to view more
detail on availability and location as
illustrated above.

6. Find print books on the 2nd floor in the University Center’s the LINK,
arranged by subject using the Library of Congress Classification
System. Call number labels, typically located on the spine or front
cover, order books alphanumerically. The call number specifies the
specific location of a book.
If shelved in another location, ask a
library staff member for assistance.

7. To retrieve this book, go to the 2nd
floor LINK stacks, PE section
Ask a desk attendant for assistance if unable to find the book.

8. To cite this book, from the Research Hub results
screen, click Cite.
From the dropdown, select citation style.
Check citation for accuracy and
completeness.

9. To search by topic, limiting to books, enter your
search terms.

11. To view an e-book, click Access Online. Some of the results will have a View eBook
icon.
If more than one option is given, select whichever is preferred or if no preference
any.

12. Read the book online or download to a device following the instructions provided.
