This document provides requirements for a local news and information system. The system allows community members to share and access locally relevant news, events and discussions. It aims to preserve culture, educate the community, and help community members get to know each other better. The system will have admin, user and viewer roles and support sharing information, searching, and forums. It requires web interfaces compatible with HTML5 and a server with at least 10GB memory and 100GB storage.

• In this era where population is growing day by day and people
are moving to communities for residence. These communities
are relying on attached platforms for local information via a
range of digital activities, including Internet, blogs, local
newspaper etc.
• In this project our member tends to be knowledge about their
local needs, news, priorities and resources etc. as they are
more relevant to their daily routine life. This project requires
more understanding of the community.

3. 1.1 Purpose
• The purpose of local news and information is to understand,
inform, entertain, care and see your community in this way
that your community does not then you and share what you
find in routine. This system is developed for interaction
between the residents of community.
This system provides the following facilities to the people.
 It preserves culture, educates and engaged the community.

 It helps to build awareness and share unique perspectives

The following subsection provides complete overview of the
SRS documentation the product “Local News and Information
“. The entire SRS is documented in the view of Admin, User or
Member and the Viewer. And the following subsection is
arranged to complete outlook of the system, its perspective,
features and requirements.

• This system is completely self-contained and works efficiently.
It is a web based system implementing client and server
model. The “local news and information” provides simple
mechanism for users to share and get information alongside
simple database and attractive user interface for all.

The following operations are performed in this system.
 User Account: The system allows user or member to create
their account and provide share and get information features.
 Search: Search engine based on simple key words.
 Forum: The system provides the user with a platform to
discuss their matters and help others.
