The document describes Jesus' first miracle at a wedding in Cana, where he turns water into wine after the hosts run out. It summarizes that Mary tells Jesus of the lack of wine and urges the servants to do whatever Jesus says. Jesus has the servants fill large stone jars with water, and then serves the water-turned-wine to the head of the wedding. The miracle shows Jesus' glory and leads his disciples to put their faith in him.
It is common to refer to the process of maturing as a disciple as spiritual formation. Here, based upon work by Greg Ogden, I give a four stage process for growing into maturity, and fruitfulness, as a follower of King Jesus.

4. What Do We Do Long Term in Discipling Someone? KeynoteWilliam Anderson
In this fourth and final session of our “Being and Making Disciples” workshop held in Sacele on September 1,2012 we answered the question “What Do We Do Long Term in Discipling Someone?”. We did this by looking at what Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 about teaching His disciples to obey His commands. Then to finish the workshop we reviewed the answers to the questions we had looked at and were given links to discipleship resources on the internet.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Living a life of more than enough
1. The Wedding at Cana
Joh 2:1 Three days later Mary, the mother of
Jesus, was at a wedding feast in the village of
Cana in Galilee.
Joh 2:2 Jesus and his disciples had also been
invited and were there.
Joh 2:3 When the wine was all gone, Mary said
to Jesus, "They don't have any more wine."
Joh 2:4 Jesus replied, "Mother, my time hasn't
yet come! You must not tell me what to do."
2. Joh 2:5 Mary then said to the servants, "Do
whatever Jesus tells you to do."
Joh 2:6 At the feast there were six stone water jars
that were used by the people for washing
themselves in the way that their religion said they
must. Each jar held about twenty or thirty gallons.
Joh 2:7 Jesus told the servants to fill them to the
top with water. Then after the jars had been filled,
Joh 2:8 he said, "Now take some water and give it
to the man in charge of the feast." The servants did
as Jesus told them,
3. Joh 2:9 and the man in charge drank some of the water that had
now turned into wine. He did not know where the wine had come
from, but the servants did. He called the bridegroom over
Joh 2:10 and said, "The best wine is always served first. Then after
the guests have had plenty, the other wine is served. But you have
kept the best until last!"
Joh 2:11 This was Jesus' first miracle, and he did it in the village of
Cana in Galilee. There Jesus showed his glory, and his disciples put
their faith in him.
Joh 2:12 After this, he went with his mother, his brothers, and his
disciples to the town of Capernaum, where they stayed for a few
days.
8. 1.ALLOW JESUS TO BE THE CENTER OF
EVERY SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE. V.2
Joh 2:2 Jesus and his disciples had also been invited and were
there.
The moment you experience problems, trials, temptation, and
circumstances and insufficiency in life, what are the things you
always allow to play in your mind? Is it worry or the Goodness of
God, weakness or the strength of God, problems or promise of
God, trials or triumph of God, curse or the blessing of God, and
insufficiency or God’s sufficiency.
9. 1.ALLOW JESUS TO BE THE CENTER OF EVERY
SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE. V.2
Why we always experience insufficiency in life because the main
reason is we did not allow JESUS be the CENTER of it.
Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are
above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the
earth.
The secret of a happy life is giving God the first part of your day, the
first priority to every decision, and the first place in your heart.
God will provide everything you need as long as you put him first in
your life. Matthew 6.
10. 1.ALLOW JESUS TO BE THE CENTER OF
EVERY SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE. V.2
Psa 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee
the desires of thine heart.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy
paths.
Why the disciples of Jesus Christ experienced more than enough
blessing because they allowed Jesus to be the center of their
lives. E.i feeding of 5000 people.

Joseph experienced more than enough living God is with him. Gen

man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

12. 2.LET JESUS BE THE SOURCE OF
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO HAVE V. 3-5
Joh 2:3 When the wine was all gone, Mary said to Jesus, "They
don't have any more wine."
Joh 2:4 Jesus replied, "Mother, my time hasn't yet come! You
must not tell me what to do."
Joh 2:5 Mary then said to the servants, "Do whatever Jesus tells
you to do.“
1Co 8:6 We have only one God, and he is the Father. He created
everything, and we live for him. Jesus Christ is our only Lord.
Everything was made by him, and by him life was given to us.
13. 2.LET JESUS BE THE SOURCE OF EVERYTHING
YOU NEED TO HAVE V. 3-5
I believe Mary, Jesus’ mother, knows that Jesus is the only way who can
perform miracles.
Most cases, we believe that we can acquire true happiness, joy, peace,
love, wisdom, refuge, and blessing from this world but this is not the
truth. The truth is we can have these things from God. All things of this
World are TEMPORAL.
2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
We need to focus on the source of Life and that is JESUS. Jesus is the the
way the truth and the life.

We need to focus on the things with eternal value.
“My home is in Heaven. Im just traveling through this world.” Billy Graham
Therefore, our source of hope, joy, satisfaction, strength, peace, love, and
zeal is only in the Lord.
You will never experience more than enough if you will not make Jesus as
the source of everything you need.
If you want healing, acknowledge God as the source of healing.
If you want blessings, acknowledge God as the source of blessings.
If you want joy, acknowledge God as the source of your joy.

16. 3.MAKE JESUS BE THE REASON OF SUBMITTING
YOUR TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORDS V. 6-8

religion said they must. Each jar held about twenty or thirty
gallons.
Joh 2:7 Jesus told the servants to fill them to the top with water.

17. 3.MAKE JESUS BE THE REASON OF SUBMITTING
YOUR TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORDS V. 6-8
Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat
of the scornful.
Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law
doth he meditate day and night.
Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
You will experience a more than enough life if you will walk in the
counsel of God.
18. 3.MAKE JESUS BE THE REASON OF SUBMITTING
YOUR TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORDS V. 6-8
Joh 14:23 Jesus replied: If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my
Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them.
Deu 5:32 Israel, you must carefully obey the LORD's commands.
Deu 5:33 Follow them, because they make a path that will lead to a long
successful life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
God promised to us that He will give us a more than enough life if we will
submit our total obedience to Him.
