I will go over the variables in this order: (𝑥,𝑦) x and y represent all of the points on the line and are referred to as 𝑥 1 , 𝑦 1 and ( 𝑥 2 , 𝑦 2 ) m (lower case) represents the slope of the line. (review slope) b (lower case) represents the y-intercept. Look for this number on the y-axis to begin the graph. m and b are constants (they will never change)
