7. I am Thine O Lord; I have heard
Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me.
But I long to rise in the arms of
faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.

8. Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer
blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast
died.
Draw me nearer, nearer,
nearer blessed Lord.
To Thy precious bleeding side.
9. Consecrate me now to Thy
service Lord,
By the power of grace divine.
Let my soul look up with a
steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
10. Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed
Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer
blessed Lord.
To Thy precious bleeding side.
11. Oh the pure delight of a single
hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer and with
Thee my God,
I commune as friend with friend!
12. Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed
Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer
blessed Lord.
To Thy precious bleeding side.
14. L= O Lord, you reveal
wisdom and spiritual insight
through your presence in
creation.
15. P= When we look at the
heavens, we see your vastness.
When we look at seas teeming
with fish and verdant fields
painted like a canvas, we see
your creativity and your bounty.
16. For all of this and so much
more, we praise your name.
Amen.
18. L= Created as stewards of all
creation, we know how often
we have sunk to depths of
faithless living. We lack the
stamina to follow Christ
through the Kingdom, and
ignore the Spirit's calls to
justice.
19. Yet, God looks into our souls
and sees the delight of God's
heart. Let us join in prayer to
the One who does not
disappoint us.
21. All= God of glory, grace
and Wisdom,/ you call to
us,/ but we do not listen./
We trust in the emptiness
of the world,/ but are
reluctant to hope in your
Word.
22. We boast in our successes,/
but ignore the sufferings of
others./ Justice is what we
demand for lawbreakers,/
instead of it becoming a
lifestyle for ourselves.
23. M= Compassionate
Parent, our Creator:
P=have mercy on us;
M= Beloved Son of God,
Jesus, our Redeemer:
P=have mercy on us.
31. L= O LORD, our
Sovereign, how majestic
is your name in all
the earth!
P=You have set your
glory above the
heavens.
32. L= Out of the mouths of
babes and infants you
have founded a
bulwark because of your
foes,
P= to silence the enemy/
and the avenger.
33. L= When I look at your heavens,
the work of your fingers, the
moon and the stars that you
have established;
P= what are human beings
that you are mindful of
them,/ mortals that you care
for them?
34. L= Yet you have made them
a little lower than God, and
crowned them with glory and
honor.
P= You have given them
dominion over the works
of your hands; /you have
put all things under their
35. L= all sheep and oxen, and
also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air, and the
fish of the sea, whatever
passes along the paths of the
seas.
P= O LORD, /our Sovereign,/
how majestic is your name
in all the earth!/
42. L= Through holy wisdom,
the Lord has made the
world as a rich dwelling
place, giving us dominion
over the created order. As
God is mindful of us and
of our needs,
43. let us now be mindful of our
obligation to be good
stewards, through our
generosity and
responsibility for God’s
gifts. Ushers, please.
47. L= O Lord, we rejoice with
thankful hearts, that you
have given us this
beautiful world in which to
work and play—
a world full of your wisdom
and majesty;
48. we offer praise with
deepest gratitude,
that you have blessed us
with your bounty.
49. P=As we return a portion
of your blessing to us,
use these offerings and
tokens of our devotion:
to increase wisdom in
the world,
to protect the created
order,
50. to bless the vulnerable,
to heal the sick,
and to comfort the
afflicted. Amen.
52. Come, thou almighty
King, help us thy name
to sing,
help us to praise! Father
all glorious, o'er all
victorious. come and
reign over us, Ancient of
Days!
