An Excel-based dashboard and reporting system was developed for an AP pathology laboratory to provide customized, real-time management, sales, and operational information from their LIS system. The dashboard displays charts on monthly accession volumes, specimens by specialty, and productivity. Daily automated emails are sent on prior day results. Reports include six week client trends, month to month physician samples, sales pipeline metrics, and alerts on declining physician submissions. An interactive sales tool also tracks opportunities and declining physicians.
