It states that mirrorless cameras combine the best features of DSLRs, such as image quality, interchangeable lenses, and fast autofocus, with the best qualities of point-and-shoot cameras, including smaller size and ease of use. Mirrorless cameras are described as being faster, smaller, easier to use, and having no compromise in image quality compared to DSLRs, while also being easier to transport and use for activities like hiking. Specific mirrorless camera models, such as the Sony A6000 and A5000, are highlighted as being lighter and smaller in size than comparable DSLR cameras like the Canon SL1 and Nikon

Al Jazeera's Mobile Media Reporting in the Sahara Desert - 2008Safdar Mustafa
I created the first version of this keynote around July of 2008 when we were conducting some very interesting mobile reporting experiments from the Sahara Desert with our reporter May Ying Welsh who was commissioned to do a story on the Tuareg rebels in the Niger region. This was very much the beginning of using mobiles in the field for reporting and we didn't look back since.
The document outlines Jenna Delio's proposal for a workout app. It describes her ethnographic research which found that gym-goers ages 18-30 have difficulties disconnecting from their phones and knowing which exercises to do. Her proposed app would lock the phone during scheduled workouts and guide users through selected exercises and routines to help them have more effective workouts without distractions. The document details the app's development process including naming, logo design, and visualization of how a user would experience the app.
Techniques I’ve learned that have helped me get some great results from my iPhone camera. Many of these techniques will work for any mobile phone camera.
Hope you find it helpful.
Here are the key points covered in the information sheet:
- Screwdrivers (standard/flat, Philips, stubby, Allen) are used to loosen or tighten screws of different head types.
- Hammers are used for driving or pulling out nails. Types include claw hammer, mallet, ballpeen hammer.
- Pliers (combination, side cutting, long nose) are used for cutting, twisting, bending wires and cables.
- Other tools include wire strippers, electrician's knife, portable electric drill, hacksaw.
- Electrical materials include convenience outlets, male plugs, lamp holders (flush, hanging, surface), switches (hanging, flush, surface)
The iPhone radically changed the mobile phone industry in just four years by:
1) Forcing manufacturers to adopt all-screen touch displays and ditch physical keyboards.
2) Popularizing the app store model of software distribution which made discovering, installing, and updating apps seamless.
3) Mainstreaming touchscreens and motion sensors which are now expected features in mobile devices.
4) Killing the stylus and ushering in the era of touch as the primary means of input.
The document provides 5 tips for taking better photos with an iPhone camera: 1) Always have the iPhone with you since it's the most accessible camera. 2) Hold the iPhone with two hands for stability. 3) Consider composition and use grid lines to frame shots. 4) Avoid digital zoom and get close to the subject instead. 5) Take advantage of photo editing apps to improve shots or add filters after capturing photos.
