Liberia is one of the poorest and most war-torn nations in Africa, with over 3 million people and 80% living below the poverty line. It endured a long civil war whose effects still linger. Plans are underway for the first Every Nation church plant in Liberia, led by George Borbor in the capital Monrovia in 2010, to help the nation and people heal from the legacy of violence and set youth free from the lie that violence is the only way to live. Prayers are requested for wisdom, favor, provision and healing as the church is planted and the spirit of poverty, fear and violence is overcome.
