RX SET FOR NOVEMBER LAUNCH
Lexus willintroducethe new,fourth generation RXmid-sizeluxury SUVto theAustralian market in November 2015.
The new RXfeatures a boldnew exterior stylingpackagewith Lexus-firststylingcuesanda redesigned luxury cabin.
It combines thisdynamic new appearance with focused on-road performance andnew safety technologiesincluding the new
Lexus Safety System+ package on all variants.
Lexus Australia willofferbuyers considerablechoice, with the local modelline-up featuringRX200t, RX350 andRX450h
variantsin varyinggradelevels.
RX 200t will be poweredby Lexus' new turbochargedfourcylinder powerplant,which willdevelop175kW and350Nmanddrive
the frontwheelsvia a six-speedautomatic transmission.
RX 200t will be available in Luxury gradeandcan be specified with enhancementpacks.
RX 350 will featurea 3.5-litre direct injection V6,which will develop 221kW and 370Nm,anddrive all four wheels via an eight-
speed transmission.
This model is available in either Luxury,F Sport or Sports Luxury grade levels.
The RX 450h hybridwilldevelop230kW combined systempower(engine andelectric motor) and drive allfour wheels via a CVT
transmission.
RX 450h willalsobe available in Luxury,F Sport and Sports Luxury grades.
Lexus Australia chiefexecutive Sean Hanley said new RXbuilt on the success ofthe previous generationsof RX.
"The RX has been a significant vehicle for Lexusglobally but alsohere in Australia sincewe introducedit to the local marketin

Interior and exteriorstyling - dynamic and elegant
RX's fascia is highlighted by a new spindlegrille with a chrome-plated border, triple L-shapedLED headlamps(F Sportand
Sports Luxury grades) andredesignedfog lamps.
The side design featuresa sharpcharacter linethat runsfromthe front fenders tothe rear ofthe vehicle.
This feature,together with a flowingroofline,givesthe RXa dynamic profilethat reduces frontandrearlift while also enhancing
high speedstability andreducingwindnoise.
It also features Lexus-first blacked-outC-pillars,which providea dramatic 'floating-roof'effect.
RX's rear styling is characterisedby new L-shapedtaillights thatwraparoundthesides ofthevehicle to createa wide profile
and authoritativepresence.
New RXalso featuresnewly designed20-inch alloy wheels.Wheel designson Sports Luxury models can be customisedwith
variable colourinserts.
The new RXcabin features high levels ofluxury andcomfort andLexus-firstfeatures such as laser-cut ornamentation,which was
developed by Yamahato provide an additionalfeelingof sophistication.
Selected modelsfeaturea largehead-updisplay (HUD)* anda crisp, high definition 12.3-inch display.

Driving performance - new powertrains with improved handling
The new RXpowertrainsare alliedto a strengthenedchassis for enhanced stability and control through corners.
The vehicle's body structurehasbeen strengthenedwith addedstiffness,helping toimprove its handlingresponsewhile
minimising engine androadnoise.
The RX's fully independentsuspension systemwith MacPherson struts at the front and a double wishbone setupat the rearhas
been tunedand reinforced todeliver both handlingperformance and ride quality.
AvailableAdaptive VariableSuspension (AVS) electronically monitors and adaptsthesuspension damping andsteeringto
ensureoptimalhandling andridedependingon the drivingconditions.
AVS automatically makes adjustmentsto theshockabsorber settings,ensuring the smoothestpossible ride quality.
The systemis also designed toproduceless body rollthrough corners,providinga sporty driving experience.
Safety - all new Lexus Safety System+ package
New RXfeatures enhancedsafety features,includingan upgraded body structurethat heightens theoverallpassivesafety of
the RX, and Lexus Safety System+*,which helpsavoidor mitigate collisions across a widerangeof vehicle speeds.
Lexus Safety System+ integrates severalof Lexus'existingactivesafety technologiesin onepackage.They include:
• Pre-Collision System(PCS)*, which detectssudden stopsinitiated by the vehiclein front andwarns driversof potential contact
with obstacles ahead
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)*, which issues an audible signal if the vehiclestraysfromits intendedlane
• Automatic High Beam(AHB)*,which helps ensure optimal forwardvisibility during nightdriving,and
• All-speed ActiveCruiseControl, which maintainsa set cruisingmodeas wellas vehicle-to-vehicledistancecontrol mode.
The Lexus Safety System+ package utilisesa millimetre-wave radar that workstogether with a camerato keep the RXin its
intendeddriving lanevia theLaneKeeping Assistfeature (LKA)* andenhancesthetarget detection for theAll Speed Active
Cruise Control.
Adaptive High-beamSystem(AHS)*, Panoramic View Monitor (PVM)* andBlind SpotMonitor(BSM)* with Rear CrossTraffic Alert
(RCTA)* are availableto provide even higher levelsof safety.
RX F Sport - tuned to engage
The RX F Sport grade will be available on RX 350 andRX450h models in Australia.
F Sport models are equippedwith unique visual and performance featuresto provide a dynamic lookandfeel.

Sport, provide a dynamicroadpresence.

Exclusive colours and trimare also integral tothe F Sportpackage.
Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), which helpskeepthevehicle plantedto driving surfaces through turns, is standardon RX F
Sport.
The driver can selecttheAVS-enhanced Sport S+ mode, in addition to Eco, Normal andSportsS settings,on theDrive Mode
Select controllocatedon thecentre console.
