A presentation entitled BrandLife – Showing the Client What to Do Visually and What to Avoid was given at the Advertising Research Foundation’s (ARF) AM 6.0 conference held in 2011. The Interpretation of visual Semiotic “Answers” is presented. The presentation is given by Steve Wolf- Commercial Director, Global Qualitative & SVP/Division Director at Synovate Qualitative.
Frequently cited as an obstacle to producing software at DevOps speed, information security is an important, yet still often neglected, element in today’s modern software delivery teams. Though the DevSecOps movement is in its infancy, there are proven patterns that work and use cases to learn from.
This webinar, presented by Derek Weeks, Vice President & DevOps Advocate, Sonatype, Tim Buntel, Vice President of Products, XebiaLabs and special guest, Gene Kim will discuss them.
You’ll also hear discussion around some of the more common people, process, and tool challenges enterprise DevSecOps teams are facing as well as the business value organizations are seeing from their early DevSecOps efforts.
Debian or Yocto Project? Which is the best for your Embedded Linux project?Chris Simmonds
As you contemplate how to put together the system software for your next Embedded Linux project you will probably be pondering which is the best path to take? Use a Linux distro such as Debian, (or another of your choosing), or create a custom operating system using Yocto Project (or Open Embedded or Buildroot). At first sight, Debian looks easy, especially if you are using a Raspberry Pi, a BeagleBone, or another board with a pre-installed Debian-derived system. So, why go to all the trouble of replacing it with Yocto?
In this talk I will show you the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, using real-world use cases as examples. Spoiler alert: my conclusion is that ... it all depends what you want to do. Debian is great for fast implementation and proof-of-concept, but for long term maintainability and control of the platform, you need Yocto

Is there a correlation between Netflix and Adobe Creative Cloud? We think so. Adobe recently shifted to a cloud-based subscription model. They realized that b2b software was changing and they needed to adapt. It's not all that different to Netflix, which turned the entertainment industry on its head and blew Blockbuster out of the water. The question is, will you adapt like Adobe and move to Creative Cloud, or refuse to change and face the same fate as Blockbuster?

Even though team collocation is strongly recommended in agile methodologies, a distributed team is often required in the real world today. What is so important about collocating anyway? Can you overcome the challenges of a distributed Scrum team and still remain agile? What are the solutions? Brian Saylor tackles these important questions and more. While Brian realizes that implementing Scrum and agile practices in a distributed team is not easy, he found that it is possible if you understand the inherent problems and work hard-every day-to overcome them. Brian walks you through the reasons collocating is important for agile teams and the extra challenges distributed agile teams face. Then he dives into practical, real-world tools, tips, and techniques that organizations should research and consider before jumping into distributed waters-and don’t forget your life jacket.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
