Cancer is a disease where abnormal cells divide uncontrollably and invade other tissues. Leukemia is a type of cancer that starts in the bone marrow and causes abnormal blood cells to enter the bloodstream. There are two main types of leukemia - chronic and acute - which can be further classified as CLL, CML, ALL or AML depending on the type of blood cell affected and how quickly it progresses.
