3. The lët’z go local Xmas shopping route
starts at the ‘Gare Centrale’. Follow the
Avenue de la Liberté. At nr. 21 you will spot
Ben&Pepper Boutique. This concept store
offers eclectic home accessories, vintage
curiosities and limited edition gifts.
Opposite the street (nr. 16a), you will find a
brand new boutique by Lucien Schweitzer.
This interior decoration shop combines all
kinds of design under one roof.
Continue your walk on the Avenue and cross
the Adolphe Bridge. At the post office, turn
left (rue Aldringen) and then right onto the
Grand-Rue. At nr. 44 you will find Tapis Hertz.
You can’t miss this corner shop due to its
striking window display.
At the end of the Grand-Rue, turn right (rue
Fossé). At 1 rue de la Reine, overlooking the
Place d’Armes, you’ll find home improvement
shop Zakka, offering a range of gift ideas and
home accessories.
Walk towards the Grand Ducal Palace, turn
left and then right onto rue Sigefroi. On the
Marché-aux-Poissons you will discover
the National Museum of History and Art.
The MHNA boutique is located within.
Now walk down the steep Breedewee
(rue Large) towards the Grund.
By the Alzette river you will find Brigitte,
a pop-up bar, where you’ll be able to have
some local refreshments!
