When the Tail doesn't Wag the Dog - Chasing Outcomes rather than AgileAntoinette Coetzee
Talk delivered by Antoinette Coetzee at the Business Agility Conference (NYC) 2020
Abstract:
In 2019 a pharma giant decided to “pilot Agile” in their clinical research division. Eight teams of between 80 and 100 people started, assisted by a group of highly experienced agile coaches. One by one the pilots were cancelled by the leaders. Only two survived and concluded successfully. Did it mean the teams were Agile in the conventional sense? Not by a long shot. Did it mean they were more successful? Absolutely! Rework that was costing the company hundreds of thousands of euros were just one of the many things that changed.
In this session we will explore the tale of the successful pilot, focusing on the role, attitude and learnings of the leaders, how they engaged with the pilot, their teams, and the coach and what they did that lead to the successful outcome.

To what extent are companies using Social Media within their Digital Communit...Maria Jose Serres-Rouse
This is a findings and analysis chapter of a MSc Digital Marketing degree Dissertation by Maria Jose Serres.
The purpose of the dissertation was to investigate to what extent companies are using Social Media within their digital communities.
I also had the opportunity to examine in what ways the company's culture has been affected since it adopted Social Media and to what extent Social Media is allowing companies to deliver value to their Communities, as measured by their own objectives.
Many companies adopted Social Media, but not all of them are now obtaining the results they expected at first. Mistakes are related to misunderstanding and lack of strategy.
The organisations that are succeeding have many characteristics in common that are related to the companies’ values and changes in the culture.
This document contains the findings of my research.
In case you want the details of the data obtained from experts or the discussion of the implications I created, please contact by email.

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is my personal recommendation for Teik Hon Cheah. From January 2016 through today, I’ve
been Teik’s immediate supervisor for our company, SuperInterns.com. Teik was our Social Media
Specialist; in this role he was responsible for researching, setting up, and managing social media
platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and various forms of social media accounts by writing
and posting frequently, engaging with the community, creating attention grabbing strategies, increasing
community awareness, commenting on other pages, striving to increase national awareness of
SuperInterns.com and its clients, understanding our Alexa ranking, analyzing our page, and problem
solving ways to improve our social media presence.
Teik is amazing. While working at SuperInterns.com, he practiced creativity in his problem solving skills
and always delivered an excellent quality of work. On our Twitter profile, for example, he was able to
increase the number of followers by 200 in a single week. This was a 30%+ increase in followers- an
amazing accomplishment! Teik’s integrity was shown every day by his actions following his words. His
observant and attentive listening skills helped him to quickly identify problems in order to determine the
best solutions. He consistently volunteers for new and challenging assignments and projects and
completes them all on time and to the best of his ability.
Overall, Teik has been an exceptional asset to the company as evidenced by being chosen Intern of the
Month for March 2016. His positive attitude and friendly demeanor has helped to foster a cohesive
team environment and he has been an invaluable contributor to the Social Media team.
I highly recommend Teik for employment, and we are giving him our highest SuperInterns.com
recommendation.
To the rescue!
