Ms. Tatum Shacklett has requested a letter of recommendation. It is without hesitation
that I give such a recommendation. I have known Tatum for four years and have had the
pleasure of her sharp mind and dedication to scholarly work and school government.
Ms. Shacklett loves to engage in thought provoking conversations. As a student in my
Advance Placement United States History class her performance was at the very highest
level. Her thinking was advanced and her insight mature.
Tatum is a serious student who takes the time to understand complex subjects. She also
works extremely hard in order to excel in athletics, academics and student government.
She has had to overcome a number of difficult life experiences and in so doing she has
become a young woman with an appreciation for relationships, the world around her, and
the pursuit of excellence in life’s grand adventure.
Tatum is a bright and articulate young woman with strong family values and a dedication
to her community and the larger community around the world. In my interactions with
her I have found her to be kind and compassionate. She is the type of person that others
like to be around. Tatum has an engaging personality, a curiosity about life, a passion for
learning, a love for sports, and a gift of helping new students fell welcomed.
You will not find a more genuine and kind young woman. She is smart, articulate,
insightful and hard working. Ms. Shacklett knows how to dedicate herself to a task and
perform that task at the highest level. She has a very positive attitude and strong work
ethic. Her personality will serve her and whichever university is wise enough to have her
on their campus.
