The teacher will be teaching students about fractions by having them color and cut out pizza slices. Students will then use the pizza slices to make fractions written on the board. Working with their classmates and different types of pizzas cut into fourths, eighths, and sixteenths, the students will be able to visually understand equivalent fractions. To assess understanding, students will then play a computer game individually where they identify fractions that are not equivalent to others.
