This document describes and compares different types of radial menus and cell menus for user interfaces. A cell menu arranges options in a grid layout within a circular boundary, making efficient use of space and allowing all options to be accessed with one step. While it provides consistent spacing and a 360-degree overview, it has limitations with space and is not as forgiving of typos as compared to a radial menu. The document explores variations of radial menus and cell menus that aim to combine the best properties of both for intuitive and efficient navigation.
