Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He apprenticed under the artist Verrocchio and gained fame at age 21 for his painting 'Adoration of the Magi'. Da Vinci combined his skills in art and science, dissecting human and animal bodies to study anatomy. He pioneered many inventions and designs in engineering and anatomy that paved the way for future scientists and doctors. His works spanned inventions, paintings, drawings and notebooks.
