What Participants said about our “Creativity in Business” WorkshopKevin Lee
At a recent workshop, seeing that the group really got into the “zone” of building their LEGO models and sharing stories, so instead of making everyone fill up feedback forms at the end of the workshop, we got participants to build LEGO models to share how the felt about and what they learnt from the workshop.
Think they all had fun with this additional exercise and it allowed everyone to freely express their views instead of being constrained by a 1 to 5 scale.

I hope you like my Lego Ninjago Weapon Book. I compiled it from the LEGO website, I thought it would be easier for me to enjoy reading about the Ninjago weapons by making it a slide. LEGO doesn't endorse me and this is an unofficial book. But if you like it, share it with other LEGO Ninjago FANS :) You can CLICK on the NINJA pictures at the last slide to share this book with your Facebook friends.

5. Open your mind
• Ice break: Introduction & Story sharing
a time from your childhood when you failed at
something and how you felt when you
succeeded.

7. Failure
• Result vs the Process.
• Which kind of people do you have
around you?
13年5月21日火曜日
8. Overcoming Failure
• Failure is not always a bad thing or
something to be ashamed of.
• Tatsushi, Shinya and Stacey have all
been (or are!) failures in their lives.
• We can learn from failure.
13年5月21日火曜日
9. Steps to overcoming failure
• 1) Learn from your mistakes. Think
about when you learnt to ride a bike,
how many times did you fall off?
• ACTION: think about a time you were
successful. Remember the mistakes you
made. Write down mistakes you've
made and try again.
13年5月21日火曜日
10. Overcoming failure
• 2) Think about the worse case scenarios.
When you think, I can't do that because
I might fail - what will the outcome be
if you did fail?
• ACTION: Brainstorm the actual worst
thing that could happen - can you cope
with that? If yes, give it a go!
13年5月21日火曜日
11. Overcoming failure
• 3) Tell yourself "I can do it!" Don't say "I
should have worked harder" say "Next
time I will work harder."
• 4) Be around positive people.
Negative people bring you down.

12. Overcoming failure
• 5) Learn from successful people.
Talk to or if you can't, read about or
watch people who have failed and
succeeded.
TEDis great for this!

we are doing.

Failure = Chance

33. Play with your failure!
• Look back at your failure in your job,
relationships, life or schooling.
• Build your “Failure” with LEGO bricks.

34. Tell us your story.
• Why did it happen??
• What did you learn from it?
13年5月21日火曜日
35. Wrap Up
• Making a mistake is a good reason to
remember WHY we are doing this.
• Be positive, go back to basics and let it
go.
