• Know your effort distribution
• Make sure you are in the best track for your career interests and goals
• Need to change your track (page 10)?
• Non-tenure pathway to an appropriate tenure-eligible pathway
• Needs to be made before the conclusion of his/her first 36 months of appointment at
the rank of Assistant Professor
• Tenure-eligible pathway to non-tenure pathway
• Anytime before the beginning of the final year of the probationary period, i.e., before
the commencement of 7th year

are fundamental to the success of the College, and are
fulfilled by faculty members who have established the
foundations of their careers. Thus, newly appointed
junior faculty may have little or no administrative
service responsibilities. These duties will increase as
their careers mature, including within the later years
of appointment as Assistant Professor.
