An Amtrak train collided with three Conrail locomotives in Baltimore, Maryland yesterday at 1:30 pm. At least 15 people were killed and 175 injured in the accident, which Amtrak spokesman Larry Case said occurred when the Conrail locomotives ran a stop sign while traveling northbound on a track that merges four lines into two. It was the worst accident in Amtrak's 132-year history.
