Pablo Picasso had many romantic relationships and marriages over his lifetime. He was married twice, first to Olga Khokhlova with whom he had one son, and later to Jacqueline Roque. He also had significant relationships with Fernande Olivier, Eva Gouel, Olga Kokhlova, Marie-Thérèse Walter, Dora Maar, Françoise Gilot, and others. Many of these relationships produced children and inspired his art, as he created hundreds of portraits of the women in his life. His relationship with Dora Maar during the 1930s was especially influential as she served as his muse during this prolific and politically turbulent time period.
