Land Advisory Group was founded by senior real estate professionals at
Henry S. Miller Company and is comprised of individuals with nearly 80
years of industry experience. Team members have held executive
positions with nationally recognized real estate firms, with U.S.
government agencies and non-profit organizations.

CHRIS BURROW, Vice President
Chris Burrow is Vice President of the Land Advisory Group. He provides a full range of investment real estate services
for individual investors, family offices and fund managers. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Arizona and was a post-graduate Research Fellow with the National Science Foundation and the
Smithsonian Institution.
Chris began his real estate career in 1981 as an Acquisitions Analyst with the Miller Company’s Real Estate Investment
Banking Group. He subsequently served as Senior Vice President of the Investment Properties and International
Divisions of the Miller Company where he was a top producer and member of the company’s Chairman’s Council.
He represented domestic and international clients in the acquisition, development and disposition of investment
land as well as income producing properties including neighborhood, community and regional shopping centers in
Texas and the Southwest. Major clients included Albertson’s, Walmart Stores, Sam’s Club, Target, Dillard’s, and a
wide range of individual and institutional investors.
From 1995 to 2011 Chris served as CFO/COO of the Episcopal School of Dallas. He was responsible for over $80 million
in real estate assets and managed the construction and project financing of over 250,000 square feet of academic,
athletic and outdoor education facilities.
Chris utilizes his 30 years of experience by providing his clients comprehensive investment real estate services – in
acquisitions, property enhancement and dispositions. He focuses on the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and secondary
markets within 100 miles of Dallas.

DILLON COOK, Associate
Dillon Cook is an Associate in the newly established Land Advisory Group. After graduating from TCU in 2014, Dillon
became one of the first Broker Trainees at HSM to graduate from a one-year rotational training program. While in this
program, he was able to gain valuable work experience by teaming up with lead brokers within the Retail, Office
and Industrial, Multifamily, Investments and Land, and Debt and Equity Divisions. During this time, Dillon excelled at
sourcing “off-market” investment opportunities by specializing in CMBS loans. He quickly led a new initiative into the
CMBS market focusing on Office, Multifamily, and Retail assets where he began representing individual and
institutional investment groups on assets ranging in value from $1 million to upwards of $100 million.
Dillon’s focus within the Land Advisory Group is on the acquisition, disposition, and development of Commercial and
Residential Land projects across the north Texas market. His energetic and entrepreneurial work ethic have quickly
allowed him to excel into all areas of the commercial real estate market.
Prior to joining Henry S. Miller, Dillon served as the Production Assistant and Construction Manager at his family’s
aircraft business located in Grand Prairie, Texas, where he learned the ins and outs of effectively managing a small
business. He also grew up working on his family’s ranch in west Texas. Dillon is a very passionate outdoorsman and
can be found hunting or fishing many weekends out of the year.
Dillon grew up in Dallas, Texas where he attended Highland Park High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Science
Degree in Business Communications with minors in General Business as well as Energy Management and Technology
from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. While attending TCU, Dillon held various executive positions within
the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and he was also the Captain and Vice President of the TCU Men’s Lacrosse Team for
multiple years.

ALEC LUCAS, Associate
Alec Lucas is an associate in the Land Advisory Group of Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC. With a focus on properties
throughout the DFW Metroplex, Alec concentrates on property due diligence, valuations for land, office, and multi-
family investment properties, and finding “off-market” investment opportunities. He works closely with Henry S. Miller
Company’s Land Advisory Group and assists in technical analysis for clients.
Prior to joining the Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC Land Advisory Group, Alec worked as an intern for two summers at
The Shop Companies in Dallas, a multiservice retail real estate firm. During his real estate internships, Alec worked
closely with a broker of the firm, focusing on finding new locations for big box retailers/grocers. He helped in the day-
to-day business functions, participated in property research, as well as gained hands-on-experience with detailed
mapping for proposed development sites.
Alec grew up in Coppell, Texas where he attended Coppell High School. He attended Texas Christian University in
Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Studies with a General
Business minor. Prior to TCU, Alec studied Business and Economics while playing Division One Lacrosse at Stony Brook
University in Long Island, New York and Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. When he isn't working, Alec
enjoys reading a good book, traveling, and playing sports.

ERIC LEYENDECKER, Associate
Eric Leyendecker is an associate of the Land Advisory Group of Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC. Eric first joined HSM in
October of 2015 as the second generation of the Broker Trainee program, which is a rotational program that gives a
full spectrum of the Real Estate industry. He spent time learning about leasing, sales, and other aspects of the
business in various divisions such as Office, Industrial, Retail, Investments, and Land. During this time, Eric mainly
focused on Office and Industrial product types doing a mixture of tenant representation as well as acquiring listings
from landlords to market their properties.
Prior to joining Henry S. Miller, Eric worked for a real estate firm called VantageOne Real Estate in Newport Beach,
California assisting on developing retail pad sites for tenants, such as In-N-Out Burger and BJ’s Restaurant and
Brewhouse. While at VantageOne, he oversaw the development of the sites from the very beginning up until the
actual construction of the buildings. This experience allowed him to learn how cities plan and zone sites, create
relationships with city members, and make and present proposals to cities and investors.
Eric is a native of Dallas, Texas where he attended Dallas Jesuit College Preparatory School. After graduating from
Jesuit, he enrolled in the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University where he then went on to graduate
with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. While there, he was involved in many school organizations as well becoming
the Rush Chairman of his Fraternity Phi Delta Theta his Junior year.

DARRELL HURMIS, Executive Vice President/Principle
Investments & Land Division
Darrell Hurmis serves as a Principal and Division Head of the Investments/ Land Division at Henry S. Miller Brokerage,
LLC. specializing in income properties and land sales as well as unique lease assignments. Mr. Hurmis began his real
estate career in 1985 at Grunnah/Swanson Real Property Company which eventually merged with The Henry S. Miller
Company in 1994 where he has consistently placed within Miller’s top ten producers throughout his 30 year career
and was the number one producer for Henry S. Miller Brokerage in 2014.
He was the 2010 recipient of the prestigious NTCAR Stemmons Service Award which is presented annually to honor a
member of the DFW brokerage community who best exemplifies the highest standards of a commercial real estate
professional. He is an active member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, International Council of
Shopping Centers, Co-Publisher of “The Book - Dallas / Ft. Worth Commercial Hall of Fame” and much more.
Darrell grew up in Dallas, Texas and holds a B.B.A. from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Prior to real
estate, Darrell was in the oil industry for eight years.

MARK O’BRIANT, Managing Director / President
Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC / Appraisal & Consulting
PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION
Mr. O’Briant has over 28 years of experience in various facets of the real estate industry. He began his real estate
career as a commercial appraiser receiving his MAI designation in 1992 and a CRE designation in 2006.
He currently serves as the President of the Appraisal & Consulting and Management Divisions for Henry S. Miller and
manages the Research and Marketing Departments. The Consulting Division consists of four designated MAI’s, four
additional appraisers and staff, with concentrations in complicated appraisal and litigation assignments. Mr.
O’Briant has extensive experience in cash flow modeling and analysis of institutional grade properties including
assignments involving leased fee and leasehold estates, as well as partial interests and is experienced with virtually
all property types.
With a national client base, Mr. O’Briant has appraised properties throughout the United States and maintains a
thorough understanding of real estate trends and their influence on the economy. He is qualified to provide clients
with specialized information and unique insights to a variety of real estate markets throughout the State of Texas,
utilizing the latest software, such as Argus, in the analysis of properties.
He is an active real estate broker and brings value to his clients with the ability to analyze real estate, going concern
business values and furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

JIM BROWNLOW, Senior Vice President
Capital Markets
Jim Brownlow is the SVP/Managing Partner for HSM Equities, the Capital Markets and Acquisition division of the Henry
S. Miller Companies. Jim has a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas. He was a founding member of the Real
Estate Finance & Investment Center at the UT McCombs Business School.
Jim began his real estate career at Lomas & Nettleton Mortgage Company, the oldest and largest mortgage
company in the US. In a short period of time, he made EVP and was Manager of the Dallas office in the
Commercial Lending Group, becoming the top producer nationwide. Jim joined the Vantage Companies in 1980 as
EVP Finance of the parent company and President of Vantage Financial Services. VFS has total responsibility for
acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, debt and equity origination for all properties, with Wall Street and Institutional
relationships. In 1988, Jim started his own company, Stonehill Realty Services. This entity has been involved in several
ventures with numerous major real estate companies nationwide including: The Vantage Companies, Republic
Property Group, Henry S. Miller Companies, PRM Realty, etc. Jim’s background allows him to work on all property
types and in all national markets, making him an asset to Henry S. Miller and the full services we provide.

  • 9. CHRIS BURROW, Vice President Chris Burrow is Vice President of the Land Advisory Group. He provides a full range of investment real estate services for individual investors, family offices and fund managers. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona and was a post-graduate Research Fellow with the National Science Foundation and the Smithsonian Institution. Chris began his real estate career in 1981 as an Acquisitions Analyst with the Miller Company’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group. He subsequently served as Senior Vice President of the Investment Properties and International Divisions of the Miller Company where he was a top producer and member of the company’s Chairman’s Council. He represented domestic and international clients in the acquisition, development and disposition of investment land as well as income producing properties including neighborhood, community and regional shopping centers in Texas and the Southwest. Major clients included Albertson’s, Walmart Stores, Sam’s Club, Target, Dillard’s, and a wide range of individual and institutional investors. From 1995 to 2011 Chris served as CFO/COO of the Episcopal School of Dallas. He was responsible for over $80 million in real estate assets and managed the construction and project financing of over 250,000 square feet of academic, athletic and outdoor education facilities. Chris utilizes his 30 years of experience by providing his clients comprehensive investment real estate services – in acquisitions, property enhancement and dispositions.   • 10. DILLON COOK, Associate Dillon Cook is an Associate in the newly established Land Advisory Group. After graduating from TCU in 2014, Dillon became one of the first Broker Trainees at HSM to graduate from a one-year rotational training program. While in this program, he was able to gain valuable work experience by teaming up with lead brokers within the Retail, Office and Industrial, Multifamily, Investments and Land, and Debt and Equity Divisions. During this time, Dillon excelled at sourcing “off-market” investment opportunities by specializing in CMBS loans. He quickly led a new initiative into the CMBS market focusing on Office, Multifamily, and Retail assets where he began representing individual and institutional investment groups on assets ranging in value from $1 million to upwards of $100 million. Dillon’s focus within the Land Advisory Group is on the acquisition, disposition, and development of Commercial and Residential Land projects across the north Texas market. His energetic and entrepreneurial work ethic have quickly allowed him to excel into all areas of the commercial real estate market. Prior to joining Henry S. Miller, Dillon served as the Production Assistant and Construction Manager at his family’s aircraft business located in Grand Prairie, Texas, where he learned the ins and outs of effectively managing a small business. He also grew up working on his family’s ranch in west Texas. Dillon is a very passionate outdoorsman and can be found hunting or fishing many weekends out of the year. Dillon grew up in Dallas, Texas where he attended Highland Park High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Communications with minors in General Business as well as Energy Management and Technology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. While attending TCU, Dillon held various executive positions within the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and he was also the Captain and Vice President of the TCU Men’s Lacrosse Team for multiple years.   • 11. ALEC LUCAS, Associate Alec Lucas is an associate in the Land Advisory Group of Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC. With a focus on properties throughout the DFW Metroplex, Alec concentrates on property due diligence, valuations for land, office, and multi- family investment properties, and finding “off-market” investment opportunities. He works closely with Henry S. Miller Company’s Land Advisory Group and assists in technical analysis for clients. Prior to joining the Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC Land Advisory Group, Alec worked as an intern for two summers at The Shop Companies in Dallas, a multiservice retail real estate firm. During his real estate internships, Alec worked closely with a broker of the firm, focusing on finding new locations for big box retailers/grocers. He helped in the day- to-day business functions, participated in property research, as well as gained hands-on-experience with detailed mapping for proposed development sites. Alec grew up in Coppell, Texas where he attended Coppell High School. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Studies with a General Business minor. Prior to TCU, Alec studied Business and Economics while playing Division One Lacrosse at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York and Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. When he isn't working, Alec enjoys reading a good book, traveling, and playing sports.   • 12. Team Members LAND ADV ISO R Y G R O UP 11 ERIC LEYENDECKER, Associate Eric Leyendecker is an associate of the Land Advisory Group of Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC. Eric first joined HSM in October of 2015 as the second generation of the Broker Trainee program, which is a rotational program that gives a full spectrum of the Real Estate industry. He spent time learning about leasing, sales, and other aspects of the business in various divisions such as Office, Industrial, Retail, Investments, and Land. During this time, Eric mainly focused on Office and Industrial product types doing a mixture of tenant representation as well as acquiring listings from landlords to market their properties. Prior to joining Henry S. Miller, Eric worked for a real estate firm called VantageOne Real Estate in Newport Beach, California assisting on developing retail pad sites for tenants, such as In-N-Out Burger and BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse. While at VantageOne, he oversaw the development of the sites from the very beginning up until the actual construction of the buildings. This experience allowed him to learn how cities plan and zone sites, create relationships with city members, and make and present proposals to cities and investors. Eric is a native of Dallas, Texas where he attended Dallas Jesuit College Preparatory School. After graduating from Jesuit, he enrolled in the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University where he then went on to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. While there, he was involved in many school organizations as well becoming the Rush Chairman of his Fraternity Phi Delta Theta his Junior year.   • 13. DARRELL HURMIS, Executive Vice President/Principle Investments & Land Division Darrell Hurmis serves as a Principal and Division Head of the Investments/ Land Division at Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC. specializing in income properties and land sales as well as unique lease assignments. Mr. Hurmis began his real estate career in 1985 at Grunnah/Swanson Real Property Company which eventually merged with The Henry S. Miller Company in 1994 where he has consistently placed within Miller’s top ten producers throughout his 30 year career and was the number one producer for Henry S. Miller Brokerage in 2014. He was the 2010 recipient of the prestigious NTCAR Stemmons Service Award which is presented annually to honor a member of the DFW brokerage community who best exemplifies the highest standards of a commercial real estate professional. He is an active member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, International Council of Shopping Centers, Co-Publisher of “The Book - Dallas / Ft. Worth Commercial Hall of Fame” and much more. Darrell grew up in Dallas, Texas and holds a B.B.A. from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.   • 14. MARK O’BRIANT, Managing Director / President Henry S. Miller Brokerage, LLC / Appraisal & Consulting PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION Mr. O’Briant has over 28 years of experience in various facets of the real estate industry. He began his real estate career as a commercial appraiser receiving his MAI designation in 1992 and a CRE designation in 2006. He currently serves as the President of the Appraisal & Consulting and Management Divisions for Henry S. Miller and manages the Research and Marketing Departments. The Consulting Division consists of four designated MAI’s, four additional appraisers and staff, with concentrations in complicated appraisal and litigation assignments. Mr. O’Briant has extensive experience in cash flow modeling and analysis of institutional grade properties including assignments involving leased fee and leasehold estates, as well as partial interests and is experienced with virtually all property types. With a national client base, Mr. O’Briant has appraised properties throughout the United States and maintains a thorough understanding of real estate trends and their influence on the economy. He is qualified to provide clients with specialized information and unique insights to a variety of real estate markets throughout the State of Texas, utilizing the latest software, such as Argus, in the analysis of properties. He is an active real estate broker and brings value to his clients with the ability to analyze real estate, going concern business values and furniture, fixtures, and equipment.   • 15. JIM BROWNLOW, Senior Vice President Capital Markets Jim Brownlow is the SVP/Managing Partner for HSM Equities, the Capital Markets and Acquisition division of the Henry S. Miller Companies. Jim has a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas. He was a founding member of the Real Estate Finance & Investment Center at the UT McCombs Business School. Jim began his real estate career at Lomas & Nettleton Mortgage Company, the oldest and largest mortgage company in the US. In a short period of time, he made EVP and was Manager of the Dallas office in the Commercial Lending Group, becoming the top producer nationwide. Jim joined the Vantage Companies in 1980 as EVP Finance of the parent company and President of Vantage Financial Services. VFS has total responsibility for acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, debt and equity origination for all properties, with Wall Street and Institutional relationships. In 1988, Jim started his own company, Stonehill Realty Services. This entity has been involved in several ventures with numerous major real estate companies nationwide including: The Vantage Companies, Republic Property Group, Henry S. Miller Companies, PRM Realty, etc. Jim’s background allows him to work on all property types and in all national markets, making him an asset to Henry S. Miller and the full services we provide.
