English is an important second language to learn. There are many language centers that offer different programs to help students learn English for academic or professional purposes. To truly master English as a second language, students must use it regularly in and out of class, regardless of location. When speaking a new language, it is important to understand vocabulary, have proper pronunciation and intonation, and build relationships with teachers. Children between ages 3 and 12 often have the highest comprehension when learning new languages, before social pressures emerge. Learning a second language should be a positive experience to benefit students' lives.
