Education:
Northern Illinois University - DeKalb, Illinois
Bachelors of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering December 2015
Associates of Science in General Engineering December 2013
Professional Experience:
VNA Aurora Highland Healthcare Clinic - Aurora IL August – December 2015
Process Engineer
Improved patient cycle times in the VNA clinic to less than 65 minutes per patient. Utilized value stream
mapping, forecasting cycle times, simulation/what if scenarios, results, standardization proceduresfor the clinic,
and new methods of implementation as well as validation of implementation. Successfully planned a projected
reduced patient cycle time average of 55 minutes per patient. Solution involved allocation of staffing resources
as well as a Standard Operating Procedure for patients to go into clinic and register directly with Nurses. Heavy
use of Minitab, Excel, Centricity, and Simulation using Arena. Performed statistical analysis utilizing SPSS
software, creating reports for administration and management.
Engineering Project Time Study, NIU - DeKalb, IL May 2013 – December 2015
Analyzed cycle times for a manufacturing system of clocks and improved the process for efficiency using the
Design for Experiments approach through Lean Six Sigma. Used multivariable analysis tools such as SPSS
software as well as Minitab to analyze significant variables that affected the process as well as insignificant
variables not affecting anything. Used Factory CAD, Arena, and Visio to map the process and analyze the
manufacturing. Implemented Poke Yokes, Kanban’s, and different shaped cell layouts that improved the
manufacturing process using Visio and Factory CAD.
Technology Store, NIU, DeKalb, IL July – October 2014
Engineering Internship
Promoted and Sold mini laptop and ASIS tablets. Used inventory analysis and planned production, shipping,
and placement orders working with material handler. Updated software and antivirus plans for students.
