Visual Art Workshop Facilitator. Washington, DC. Jan 2015 – May 2016.
Facilitated several visual art workshops that took place in 2015 (Culture Coffee
Too) and 2016 (Potter's House). Designed to serve youth between the ages of 6
through 12, including those with developmental disabilities. Participants are
provided instruction in painting, using traditional and non-traditional materials,
with the intent of enhancing their own natural artistic talent while expanding their
fundamental information about compositional studies, light and shadow, and
technique. Further, the workshop augments participants’ overall education,
particularly their communication skills. Additionally, participants are introduced to
many renaissance artists. Some of them include Romare Bearden, Jacob
Lawrence, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Polluck and Lois M. Jones.
Professional Visual Artist. Washington, D.C. 1981 - present. Extensive set of
experiences in the area of the arts including participating in exhibitions,
competitions, and gallery openings.

Kuumba Expressions' Visual Art Workshops. Culture Coffee, Washington,
D.C. (January 31, 2015) and Potter's House, Washington, D.C. (May 16, 2016
and May 23, 2016). Designed, created, managed and taught several visual art
workshops for children ages 6 - 12. Recruited children, prepared flyers and
promoted the visual art workshops.
