K-Ruoka is a mobile application from one of the largest retail chains in Finland. It is built around shopping list, which might become the killer feature and a reason to open the app every day.

 Find the app in the AppStore
 Install and open the application
REGISTRATION, FIRST TIME USE
 When using the first time you need to register with the K-
Plussa loyalty membership number and name.
 Accept the T&C and you are ready to go. App will open
into the main view
 Next time you open the application it will open directly to
main view.

 The main view is called ”K-Ruoka”
 At the top of the view you can swipe left and right to
view different sections of the main view
 Sections are basically links to Create shopping list, My
own benefits, and recommended recipes.
K-RUOKA, THE OPENING VIEW
 In the middle of the view is information about your
own store. Which is the store you use the most often.
 The service selects this automatically after the
registration, which is nice and expected.

 Select the Reseptit on the action bar at the bottom
of the view
 Recommended recipes are listed first and can be
scrolled down
 Select one recipe and details are shown
RECIPES
 Recipe details include ingredients, preparation details and
nutrition details
 A recipe can be added to a shopping list. Nice feature is
that you can unselect those ingredients you already have
at home
 Recipe search function is also available

 The main view of the stores section in the app
displays the different grocery stores on a map
 Selecting one will open a pop-up with store name and
opening hours
STORES
 Pressing the (i) icon opens a main view of the store
with lots of details
 You can select the store as the ”my own store”
 You can also get a list of additional services provided
in this store like ATM, recycling point, etc.

 Benefits section is divided to two views: My own
benefits and My store
 ”My own benefits” includes offers provided to me
 A benefit can be added to a shopping list by pressing
the red icon

store I have selected to be my own store
 Selecting a benefit, more details are displayed
 A benefit can be added to a shopping list by pressing
the red icon

 Main view of the shopping list includes all the lists
created
 New list can be added with a free text name
 A shopping list can be shared between family
members and also sent to friends
SHOPPING LIST
 Family members are registered as secondary loyalty
program members and they share the same loyalty
account
 When a family member uses the K-Ruoka app in her/his
smartphone the shared list is visible there too.
 Shared lists can be modified by all family members

 Products can be added to shopping list by typing the
product name
 Products can be also added also from the list of recent
purchases
 No full catalog of branded products instead product types
are in the service

 Tap on the product and it will be marked as purchased
