What is Sixth GIREM Leadership Summit?

New international terminal costing INR 3 billion & catering to 10,000
passengers per annum has been announced.
Kochi Metro Rail with connectivity from Alwaye
(North) to Petta (South) is planned. Work has begun on
the project with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
laying the foundation stone for the project in
September 2012.

4. The Metro Rapid Transit system - The Kochi Metro is an under construction project, which
once effective will considerably ease traffic congestion in the city. It also multiple ports and
ferry service between islands.
5. Transit corridor - connects II & III order urban centers such as Kodungallur, Angamaly,
Piravam and Chertala.
6. The availability of 15 GBPS bandwidth, through undersea cables such as FLAG, SAFE and SEA
ME WE 3 ensures seamless data flow from worldwide which helps the IT business.
7. The Info Park promoted by Govt. of Kerala is home to companies like Wipro and TCS. The
establishment of Smart City project by Dubai Internet City, Info Park will make Kochi the
Silicon Valley of Kerala.
